Walt Disney World, Florida, offers its lowest rates in the fall, and there are hundreds of activities you can enjoy without the kids. You don't even need to go to the theme parks unless you want to. The Disney Institute offers accommodations, spa and salon services, and classes and instruction in everything from oil painting and rock climbing, to tennis and canoeing. If you can imagine it, it's offered at the Disney Institute.

'50s-style New Year on the river
The clock is ticking toward the Year 2000, but the Delta Queen Steamboat Co., America's oldest cruise line, is turning back time to the 1950s. If you'd rather think of "Happy Days" than Y2K, pack your penny loafers and poodle skirts for one of five "fabulous 50s" celebrations aboard an old-fashioned paddlewheeler. Choose from a trio of "1950s Hit Review- cruises in April 2000 on the Mississippi Queen, or a pair of "1950s Rockin' on the River" cruises in July 2000 on the American Queen. All of the vacations feature superstars of the '50s who will join passengers to help recreate the music and memories of the era.
Passengers can take advantage of an Early Booking Discount when reserving a stateroom with a $300 per person deposit at least six months before departure. Early bookers will also receive a roundtrip airfare rate of $150 per person, a free two-night hotel stay or a $150 per person travel allowance (subject to availability and a few restrictions).
All fares are per person, double occupancy, and include port charges/costs, four sumptuous meals each day, all onboard activities and the service of an American crew.
