Revised Checked Baggage Free Weight Allowance

The Airlines have a revised checked baggage free weight allowance.

Customers traveling within or between the 50 U.S. States (including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands) and Canada, with tickets purchased on or after April 15, 2003 will be subject to revised checked baggage free weight allowance and overweight charges as follows:

• Baggage exceeding 100 pounds will not be accepted as checked baggage
• Sporting equipment is not subject to overweight/oversize charges
• Baggage that is excess and/or overweight and/or oversize is subject to excess, overweight and/or oversize charges

Below is the airlines's revised free checked baggage allowance for 50 U.S. States (including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands) and Canada:

• 1st piece not exceeding 50 pounds/62 linear inches
• 2nd piece not exceeding 50 pounds/62 linear inches
• One additional piece of checked baggage not exceeding 70 pounds/62 linear inches will be accepted free of charge for a customer checking in for a confirmed seat in either BusinessFirst, Business Class, or the First Class cabin on the origin segment or transfer point segment over which the baggage is to be carried.

Exceptions: The customers listed below are allowed to check up to 70 pounds/62 linear inches without charge.

• Customers checking in for a confirmed seat in BusinessFirst, Business Class, or the First Class cabin on the origin segment or transfer point segment over which the baggage is to be carried.
• Customers on domestic portions of international itineraries.
• A Military Passenger traveling on orders may check two duffel bags, sea bags or B-4 bags up to 70 pounds.
