What to do and how to turn on everything when you arrive at the Conconully Family Cabin
Cabin Address is: 63 B West Fork Road Conconully WA 98819

  • Unload down below and then Park in upper parking area unless you are the only one coming to the cabin. Leave area clear for the next person to be able to unload.

  • Bring your own key. Key will be in the lock box (Need to remember the code)
Spare key is under the deck in case you need it. Make sure you get it back

  • Is the cabin clean? If not then you get to kick the ass of the person that stayed at the cabin before you. Just hope that it wasn't Tyler because not many of you can kick his ass but you can tell his mom.

  • Plug in the Well.
Plug in is in the cement cylinder behind the shed which is also behind the cabin. The cord is the crummy old white one down in the well. Plug it into the electrical box on post, usually under the can.

  • In the back bedroom on the wall above the beds is a big switch that says Hot Water. Just turn it on. Make sure the hot water tank is full before turning on the breaker switch. The water valves are in the locker and should already be turned on. If you want to use the shower you will need to turn on the valves for that in the locker. You can leave them on if someone is coming next week. You might have to check the breaker box (Back Bedroom) to see if it is on. The key for the shower is on the antlers on the screened porch.

  • If you are the first for the season then you may have to do this or during the winter.
Turn on the valves to fill the hot water tank. This is in the Locker. This needs to be done in stages because the well will run dry if you try to do it all at once.

  • Turn on the Hot Water tank only after the tank is filled with water. During the summer the hot water tank is left filled it's just that you might want to check it first.

  • Keys to the shed, shower, 4 wheeler, etc are hanging on the horns that are facing the lake out on the enclosed porch. Please put the keys back where you found them.

  • When taking a shower you need to be fairly quick because you will run the well dry. If this happens you will need to wait for a while before using the water again. It will come back just be patient.

  • If cabin is cold when you get there and want heat now before the fire starts to heat the cabin you can use the electric heaters that are under the back beds. Just don't leave them on and put them back when not using. Fill up the wood box before you leave for the next person and cut some kindling because when someone gets there it is usually dark and cold. It will be appreciated.

  • Garbage: use the cans on the porch. Just aluminum cans in the recycle but please crush first.

  • Cell phone seems to work only when you go down the street towards the campgrounds "Shady Pines Resort".

  • TV & Satellite Dish. One Remote (JVC) work the TV. One Remote (Dish) works, guess what, the dish channels

  • Cell phones work down by the Shady Pines resort Also you can connect to the internet using their Wi-Fi but they don't like people using it so you might have to be quick. It isn't Password protected

This is mostly for our guests

  • Pots Pans dishes and utensils are there to use. Just when you leave make sure they are clean.

  • You can use the boats. Oars and anchors are in the shed just not the moters unless you got approval before hand.

  • The phone (509-422-4519) at the cabin can call 800 numbers, 911 and also local calls but not long distance. Need a phone card or collect calls. You can receive calls.

  • The old Home Comfort Sove isn't used right now, maybe later and will let you know when but not for now. Use the fireplace for heat.

  • the Locker is used for storage. If you need something it is probably in the locker.

  • Bedding: Bring a sleeping bag or your own bedding. You can use the pillows and blankets at the cabin. They are in the closet in the back bedroom

  • Towels and things are in the bathroom

  • Games are in the cabinet under the television.

  • Use the wood just outside the door. You may need to split some to smaller sizes just be careful. Please fill the wood container in the cabin before you leave for the next person.
